AI coding assistant to bring ideas to life faster

Boxy Overview

What is Boxy?

Boxy is an AI coding assistant embedded within the CodeSandbox environment. Its primary purpose is to help developers unlock new levels of productivity, creativity, and enjoyment while coding. It has access to the user's entire codebase allowing it to have a deep understanding of app context. Key features of Boxy include code refactoring, contextual code generation and meaningful commit message generation. Boxy can refactor associated code directly through the app, taking into consideration the context of the entire project. Boxy can also generate code upon request, automating the process of copying and pasting code manually. Another enhancement by Boxy is the automatic generation of commit messages. By analyzing changes made to a specific branch, Boxy suggests appropriate commit messages, simplifying the process for the developer. Lastly, Boxy also serves as a learning tool for developers. By fielding questions about specific pieces of code or files, Boxy provides explanations and insights, thereby teaching and assisting the user to write better code. Boxy requires manual opt-in for use and is currently available to all Personal Pro and Team Pro subscribers of CodeSandbox. Help other people by letting them know if this AI was useful. Add your own prompts and outputs to help others understand how to use this AI.

A Professional Framework to Evaluate Boxy

When considering Boxy for integration into your organizational workflow, we recommend deploying a structured score card across three critical operational pillars: Security & Compliance, Integration Friction, and long-term Price Scalability. Rather than looking only at basic feature lists, modern procurement teams must assess how a software platform behaves under high load and how well it fits into the team's data security guidelines.

1. Security and Database Compliance

Depending on your operating region and field, ensure that Boxy supports standard security layers such as SOC 2 Type II certifications, GDPR compliance, or HIPAA-compliant database encryption. If the tool connects directly to client database tables or handles user passwords, verify that they implement multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO) integrations, and end-to-end data encryption in transit and at rest.

2. API Coverage and Custom Integrations

Siloed data is the primary cause of operational friction. Evaluate if Boxy has native connectors for your current project trackers, messaging hubs, and customer communication channels. For custom developer requirements, check if they provide a fully documented REST API with reasonable rate limits, comprehensive Webhooks support, and robust SDK packages in your language. A flexible API layer saves hundreds of hours of manual copy-paste overhead.

3. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

SaaS pricing packages are often deceptively simple. When reviewing Boxy's billing structure, map out your team's projected expansion over the next 12 to 24 months. Determine how costs scale as your customer database increases or as you add team members. Factor in setup costs, mandatory support plan upgrades, API access fees, and storage overage rates to understand the true cost before committing to a contract.

By combining verified user reviews from our directory with internal workflow pilot tests, your procurement team can make an informed decision that drives productivity without creating capital waste.

I tried NovelGPT a template in @Agentgpt and it did an excellent job writing the first two episodes of my novel complete with character descriptions, setting, plot points and well I think you get the point. Great tool can't wait to see it out of beta.

I'm still testing the tool yet it looks very promising. I tested it with a 5.5k words Academic text that I had previously red. I tested the Key points feature, it does work!

You have the option to waitlist or you can login with your email/pass or google account. I chose google. Once inside you have a suite of tools but im sure when you go to publish you have to sign up for a paid plan. So if your looking for a free option it will be branded. Use at your own risk. Thanks

After my first use, I think it's surprisingly good. The only drawback so far is the PDF export option for the report which is formatless.

As the service was in beta-testing stage, I created there a dozen of AI-generated courses for free. I wanted to use them. Those courses remained in my account as they started subscription tiers. But recently I have found out that they were deleted. The support didn't answer to my e-mail at all.

It's sad to see people want to try your tool out but you have no free sample for them. This may be the best tool out there, but, as mentioned, going through with the AI for minutes to explain what you want, then being prompted to pay, without even knowing if it CAN create something, is discouraging. I hope we can get a free sample or preview at one point, im interested in this one.

Code varies from run to run. Still it is a helpful app. You can specify coding languages that are not in the dropdown menu.

Honestly this is the GOAT, I tried this tool and it was able to either help debug or make scripts from the ground up. It has support for a lot of support languages too, which adds extra points to how good this tool is.

>Why is this website so ugly? Our goal is to rapidly make the software better, not to have a shiny website. Love it!

Would rate 4.9 if possible, but rounding up to 5 stars because this app truly excels compared to other AI coding tools. Why 5 Stars: Best-in-class AI coding assistance Huge improvements over competitors Actually works for real development Real Impact: I successfully built and published an actual app using this tool - that's game-changing for non-developers like me. Bottom Line: Yes, there's room for improvement, but this is already the top AI coding app available. The fact that ordinary people can create real apps with it says everything. Perfect for anyone wanting to turn ideas into actual apps!
