AI Engineer that builds faster, automates tasks, and pushes PRs.

Quarter Overview

What is Quarter?

Quarter is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool designed to facilitate and augment the process of software engineering. The tool acts as an additional team member, capable of boosting productivity by handling various tasks autonomously. The primary functions of Quarter include cloning, indexing, searching, and pushing up Pull Requests (PRs). It operates effectively even in repositories with a multitude of files. More so, Quarter has the ability to respond to PR comments, emulating the role of an engineer within a team. The tool can be used to automate a wide array of engineering tasks, including but not limited to, writing tests, building features, refactoring code, adding Create, Read, Update, Delete (CRUD) endpoints, and updating documentation. This allows engineers to focus on the aspects of coding they enjoy most, while delegating other tasks to the Quarter tool. The pricing model is a pay-as-you-go system, where the cost is calculated based on the complexity of the task and overall token usage. Providing a flexible option for users to only pay for the tasks they need automated. Contact and policy information can be found on their website. Help other people by letting them know if this AI was useful. Add your own prompts and outputs to help others understand how to use this AI.

A Professional Framework to Evaluate Quarter

When considering Quarter for integration into your organizational workflow, we recommend deploying a structured score card across three critical operational pillars: Security & Compliance, Integration Friction, and long-term Price Scalability. Rather than looking only at basic feature lists, modern procurement teams must assess how a software platform behaves under high load and how well it fits into the team's data security guidelines.

1. Security and Database Compliance

Depending on your operating region and field, ensure that Quarter supports standard security layers such as SOC 2 Type II certifications, GDPR compliance, or HIPAA-compliant database encryption. If the tool connects directly to client database tables or handles user passwords, verify that they implement multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO) integrations, and end-to-end data encryption in transit and at rest.

2. API Coverage and Custom Integrations

Siloed data is the primary cause of operational friction. Evaluate if Quarter has native connectors for your current project trackers, messaging hubs, and customer communication channels. For custom developer requirements, check if they provide a fully documented REST API with reasonable rate limits, comprehensive Webhooks support, and robust SDK packages in your language. A flexible API layer saves hundreds of hours of manual copy-paste overhead.

3. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

SaaS pricing packages are often deceptively simple. When reviewing Quarter's billing structure, map out your team's projected expansion over the next 12 to 24 months. Determine how costs scale as your customer database increases or as you add team members. Factor in setup costs, mandatory support plan upgrades, API access fees, and storage overage rates to understand the true cost before committing to a contract.

By combining verified user reviews from our directory with internal workflow pilot tests, your procurement team can make an informed decision that drives productivity without creating capital waste.

I'm a Senior SWE with ~8 years of experience in front end and full stack development. I signed up for this tool after leaving my most recent role as the promise of saving 8 hours per week filling out job application forms seemed like a no brainer. Prepping for SWE interviews - especially senior - is incredibly time consuming any optimizations to that process to give more time to practice is invaluable. My expectations were tempered going in, and I was hoping for ~1 - 2 new interview every other week to augment my own efforts. I was blown away by the results, and was regularly receiving 3 - 5 interview requests weekly. Landed a new role end of December that checked my boxes (front end, dev advocacy opportunity, step up in comp -- $35K raise in this case), and am very happy in the investment I made in @ApplyPass. Your mileage may vary depending on your experience level, but the premium plan I used which had ~400 applications going out per week was more than worth the subscription plan.

From one of our customers: We are running our 15 person VC-backed company right now without a PM. @Devplan helps fills that gap for us by generating high-quality user stories that sync in Linear in minutes. What used to take me days of back and forth and refinement I’m now doing in less then a hour.
